Dear friends,
It’s been such a joy to share my explorations, research, process and collected water stories over the last year with you here and now to share this watershed moment!
Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.
- From 'Siddhartha' by Herman Hesse
Eridanus: The River Constellation is the my largest gallery exhibition to date, on view at Mazzoleni in Turin, Italy until February 8, 2025. The works included in Eridanus: The River Constellation were made between 1998 to 2024, tracing my exploration with the waters and the cosmos through time. Here, they are in conversation with Mazzoleni’s historic galleries and the Po River itself, which flows through the city’s center. This site-specific exhibition is presented in collaboration with The State Archive of Turin.
The installation flows like the river through the spaces. This new video of the show gives you a glimpse–

Heartfelt thanks to Mazzoleni for their partnership, dedication and support. What a team!
It has been so inspiring to work in collaboration with Beatriz Cifuentes of Waterhouse Cifuentes Design on the book that accompanies the exhibition. I am honored by Director of the State Archives of Turin, Stefano Benedetto's collaboration and moving contribution to this book. Our time traveling dialogue has been exhilarating. I have enjoyed every engaging moment in my collaboration with Kathryn Weir, who contributed a rich and insightful essay which leads into an interview in the book. It will soon be available in the United States at Magazzino Italian Art’s shop.
At the opening, the gallery was brimming with heart magic, joy and love. I am grateful to the friends who came from far and wide. Here’s a fun little glimpse of that celebration–
I welcome your questions and comments!
With love and thanks for being here with me…with so much more to come,
MM
